Magnetic Resonance Imaging of $$T_2$$- and Diffusion Anisotropy Using a Tiltable Receive Coil

چکیده

Abstract The anisotropic microstructure of white matter is reflected in various MRI contrasts. Transverse relaxation rates can be probed as a function fibre-orientation with respect to the main magnetic field, while diffusion properties are an encoding gradient. While latter easy obtain by varying orientation gradient, field fixed, obtaining former requires re-orienting head. In this work we deployed tiltable RF-coil study $$T_2$$ T2 - and diffusional anisotropy brain simultaneously diffusion- correlation experiments.

Static Coil Design Considerations for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging

One of the main challenges in developing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems is to create a static coil that needs to generate magnetic field density along with the characteristics of optimal homogeneity and magnitude size. To do this, two N42 Block PMs are used and the iron core is designed and optimized in accordance with the dimensions of PM pieces using ANSYS Maxwell software. Then, al...

Simultaneous magnetic resonance imaging of diffusion anisotropy and diffusion gradient.

The theory of diffusion gradient-weighted MRI (DGWI) is presented in this paper. The Bloch-Torrey equation was modified to include the effect of intravoxel spatial-location variation of water diffusion (diffusion gradient) on MRI signal, in addition to the effect of intravoxel spatial-direction variation of water diffusion (diffusion anisotropy). An analytical solution for a diffusion-encoding ...
